Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The StoneLite ornate urn pedestal is a cast plinth that raises a large urn clear of the paving and gives it the presence a formal entry asks for. It is cast from glass-reinforced concrete, so it reads as solid stone at about a third of the weight, and it is made in one size, 45 x 45 x 45cm, in 10 finishes.

  • A guaranteed paint system. The Dulux Weathershield custom-spray finishes carry a 15 year guarantee against blistering, peeling and flaking. Almost any other Dulux or Colorbond colour can be sprayed for an extra $60.
  • It takes a knock. The glass reinforcement gives it the strength to shrug off the sort of bump that cracks an ordinary cast pot.

Sizes and what fits in them

One size only, measured on the outside.

  • 45 x 45 x 45cm, 16kg. A cube with a 45cm square top, sized to carry a large urn or bowl. Anything with a base much wider than 45cm will overhang and look unsteady.
  • On its own. The flat top also works as a plinth for a sculpture, a birdbath, or a clipped standard already growing in its own container.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Glass-reinforced concrete, cast and hand finished. Expect the small variations in tone and surface that come with any cast concrete piece.

Outdoors. The sprayed Weathershield finishes carry the 15 year guarantee noted above. We do not publish a frost rating for this range, so in hard frosting districts stop water sitting in or under it.

Drainage. A pedestal is a base rather than a planter, so nothing drains from it. Keep the drainage holes of the urn above clear, raise that pot so water escapes freely, and screen its holes with a single layer of fibreglass flyscreen rather than fabric or geofabric, which clogs.
