Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Pierre U Pot Black is a rounded, U shaped planter cast in fibre cement, finished in black with an aged relic surface that mixes smooth and rough patches like stone worn by weather. It comes in three sizes from 300mm to 480mm, and it is built as an outdoor pot. Choose it for the mass and texture of stone without a pot that needs three people to shift.

  • A weathered finish, straight away. The aged relic surface has the patchy sheen and rough texture of an old stone vessel, so it does not look new in a garden bed.

Sizes and what fits in them

Three sizes, named by nominal width. The rounded form means the widest point sits below the rim.

  • 300mm. 28cm across and 30cm tall, roughly 18 to 22 litres of mix. Decorative foliage and compact plants.
  • 400mm. 42cm across and 40cm tall, roughly 45 to 55 litres. Feature plants and established shrubs.
  • 480mm. 48cm across and 46cm tall, roughly 80 to 95 litres. Statement shrubs and small trees.

No liner or insert is needed in any size. Plant straight into the pot.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Fibre cement with a black aged relic finish. The contrast between polished and rough areas is deliberate and varies across the surface.

Outdoors. It is specified for outdoor use and not for indoors, so plan on a garden, deck or courtyard position. No frost or UV rating is published for the finish, so we will not claim one.

Drainage. A drainage hole is moulded into the base and needs to stay clear, particularly after heavy rain. No saucer is included, and as an outdoor pot it does not need one.

What to expect when it arrives

The pot ships empty: no plant, no potting mix and no saucer. It is lighter than concrete but still substantial once planted, so put it in its final position first: the 480mm alone takes 80 to 95 litres of mix. Rinse it or wipe it with a damp cloth after a dusty trip. Pots are delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
