The Holman Helios is a Wi-Fi connected weather station that measures conditions on your own block rather than at the nearest official station. It tracks up to 17 weather data points, shows them live on a 10 inch indoor LCD panel, and sends them to the Holman Home app.

What it does

  • Seventeen data points, measured locally. Humidity, indoor and outdoor temperature, wind speed and direction, wind chill, rainfall through the gauge, barometric pressure and calendar.
  • Solar powered outdoor sensor. The all in one sensor runs off its solar panel with a 3.7V 5000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery as backup, so it stays cordless outside.
  • Live display panel. The 10 inch LCD sits indoors and shows current readings at a glance, with recorded data available in the app.
  • Watering driven by data. Paired with compatible Holman Wi-Fi products, real conditions can automate irrigation, so a cycle is skipped after rain.

How to use it

Mount the outdoor sensor on the supplied stainless steel pole using the fasteners in the box, somewhere genuinely open. Readings are only as good as the position: a sensor tucked under eaves or against a fence under-reads rain and wind and over-reads afternoon temperature. Give the solar panel enough direct sun to keep the battery charged. Connect the display with the supplied power cable, join it to your Wi-Fi, then pair the system with the Holman Home app. Listed product dimensions are 470mm wide, 400mm high and 170mm deep. Wipe display and sensor with a dry cloth, and keep the rain gauge and panel clear of leaf litter. A battery charger is included.
