Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The GRC Classic Urn Pedestal is a square plinth in glass reinforced concrete, made to lift a pot to the height a formal setting asks for. It is from the same GRC range as the Classic Urn, in the same material and finishes, so pot and base can be ordered to match. Three sizes, from 34 x 34 x 51cm to 39 x 39 x 68cm.

Sizes and what fits in them

All measurements are outside dimensions, length by width by height. A pedestal holds no soil, so match the top face to the base of the pot, not its widest point.

  • 34 x 34 x 51cm. The narrowest top, for a smaller urn or compact pot in a tight entry.
  • 40 x 40 x 52cm. Much the same height, a wider top face, so it carries a broader base.
  • 39 x 39 x 68cm. The tallest without being the widest, for lifting a planting clear of surrounding shrubs.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Glass reinforced concrete: a concrete skin cast over glass fibre. No volume or weight is published for the pedestals, so the three dimensions are the working figures.

Outdoors. Built for outdoor installation, commercial sites included. The weathering guarantee sits in the coating rather than the concrete: Dulux Weathershield sprays are covered 15 years against blistering, peeling and flaking. We publish no frost rating for the body, so keep it clear of standing water in hard frost districts.

Drainage. The pedestal carries no soil, so drainage is the pot's business. Keep that pot on feet so water runs clear of the plinth top rather than pooling on it. Under cover, use a saucer.
