Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The GRC Bell Planter is a wide, softly flared bowl in glass reinforced concrete, sold in two sizes at 84 x 53cm and 105 x 66cm. Glass fibre reinforcement keeps it to 16kg and 23kg empty, so it goes in by hand rather than by machine. The standard finish is a warm corten style rust, with ten sprayed colours behind it.

  • 84 x 53cm, 90 litres, 16kg. A clipped ball, a mounding grass, or a mixed planting with something soft over the rim.
  • 105 x 66cm, 180 litres, 23kg. Advanced shrubs and small feature trees, or one architectural plant at an entry.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Glass reinforced concrete: a concrete skin cast over glass fibre, so the wall stays thin and the pot still takes a knock.

Outdoors. Built for outdoor installation, commercial sites included. The weathering guarantee sits in the coating rather than the concrete: Dulux Weathershield sprays are covered for 15 years against blistering, peeling and flaking. We publish no frost rating for the body, so in hard frost districts keep the pot clear of standing water.

Drainage. It has drainage holes and they must stay clear. Raise it on feet, cover the holes with fibreglass flyscreen rather than fabric, which clogs, then add 50mm of 10mm gravel and a premium potting mix, never garden soil. Choose plants suited to pots: aggressive roots damage any planter. Under cover, stand it on a saucer.
