The Gorilla Carts 115L Steel Mesh Cart is an all steel garden cart rated to 362kg, with mesh side walls that lift out to leave a flat tray. That is the reason to choose it over a tub cart: sides on for loose material, sides off for the long, awkward things that will not stand in a tub. The 2-in-1 handle also converts to a trailer hitch.

What it does

  • Converts to a flatbed. The steel mesh side walls are removable, so the tray opens up for timber, stakes, fence panels or a tree too tall to travel upright.
  • Carries 362kg. The balanced four wheel design puts the load on the chassis, and the all steel frame and tray shrug off knocks that would mark a plastic tub.
  • Turns in tight spaces. Zero turn 360 degree steering lets it follow you between beds and through gateways.
  • Tows behind a mower or ATV. The patented 2-in-1 handle converts to a trailer hitch when the distance makes walking it impractical.

How to use it

The cart is 1180mm long, 570mm wide and 555mm high, so check gates and side access first. Load over the axles with the weight spread evenly, and take the side walls out before loading anything long.

The side walls are mesh, so fine material can work through the gaps. Line the tray with a tarp for sand, fine mixes or dry soil. Hose the tray and frame down after use and dry it thoroughly, check tyre pressure now and then, and store it undercover, which keeps surface rust off the steel.

What it suits

Use for mixed garden and property work. Soil, mulch, plants and prunings with the sides on, then timber, tools and bulky items with the sides off, without owning two carts.

Use on acreage and rural blocks. The hitch and the 10 inch pneumatic tyres suit longer runs behind a ride-on rather than repeated walks up a paddock.
