Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

This is a classic egg shaped terracotta pot in natural unglazed clay, measuring 450mm across and 320mm high and holding roughly 40 to 45 litres of mix. It is sold in the one size, and at 15kg empty it has the weight to stand on its own at an entry or in the middle of a courtyard. The porous clay lets air and moisture move through the walls, which is why terracotta still suits plants that resent sitting wet.

  • What to plant in it. It is sized for plants currently growing in 300mm to 400mm nursery pots: a feature shrub, a clipped standard, a herb collection, or a small tree that will live in the pot for a few seasons.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Natural terracotta, unglazed, in an earthy clay colour. Colour and texture vary slightly from pot to pot, which is normal in fired clay and is part of the look rather than a fault.

Outdoors. Designed for outdoor use in most conditions, on porches, patios, courtyards and along paths. Because the walls are porous, a terracotta pot dries faster than a glazed one, so expect to water more often through summer.

Drainage. A drainage hole is included and should be kept clear. Indoors, stand it on a saucer, as moisture passes through the clay as well as out the base.
