EDEN Charcoal PVC Garden Screening is a rigid privacy panel, 1800mm high by 3000mm long, supplied with matching capping for the top edge. It fixes to an existing rail, fence or frame and closes a sightline the day it goes up, without the seasons a hedge needs. It suits balconies, courtyards and boundaries where there is no soil to plant into.

What it does

  • Privacy at fence height. One panel covers 3m of run at 1800mm high, enough to close a balcony return or the gap between two posts.
  • UV stable PVC. The sheet is 8mm thick and UV stable, built to hold its charcoal finish outdoors rather than give it up in a season.
  • Capping included. Matching capping finishes the top edge, the detail that separates a considered screen from an offcut on a rail.
  • Nothing to paint. PVC needs no staining, sealing or painting, and it does not rot.

How to use it

Measure the run first and work in 3m increments: a 6m balcony takes two panels, and shorter runs are cut to suit. Fix the sheet securely to balcony rails, existing fencing or a purpose built timber or aluminium frame, spreading the fixings over the full height so the middle cannot flex. The frame behind the screen does the real work, because a panel this size catches a lot of wind. Slide the supplied capping onto the top edge last, then wipe the sheet down with water whenever it collects dust.

What it suits

Use. Balcony balustrades, courtyard walls, residential fence lines and the open side of an outdoor living area, wherever the job is losing a view of a neighbour, a bin store or an air conditioner. Charcoal reads as a dark neutral and sits back, so planting in front of it looks fuller than it is. The same screening is available in grey.
