Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Black Linea Cylinder Pot is a straight sided planter in lightweight composite, finished in matte black and sold in four sizes from 300mm to 550mm. It is weather resistant and drilled for drainage, so it works on a courtyard or a balcony as readily as inside. The reason most people choose it is weight: a 550mm cylinder here can be walked into position by one person.

Sizes and what fits in them

Four sizes, named by diameter.

  • 300mm. About 30cm across and 25cm tall, roughly 15 to 18 litres. Suits clumping foliage, herbs and compact shrubs.
  • 370mm. About 37cm across and 30cm tall, roughly 28 to 32 litres. The size for a single well grown shrub.
  • 440mm. About 44cm across and 36cm tall, roughly 50 to 55 litres. Takes larger shrubs and screening plants in a line.
  • 550mm. About 55cm across and 44cm tall, roughly 95 to 105 litres. Enough root room for a small tree or a substantial feature plant.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Lightweight composite with a matte black finish. A rinse or a wipe with a damp cloth brings it back.

Outdoors. Weather resistant and built for year round outdoor use. Dark pots absorb heat, so in a hot inland summer plant something that tolerates warm roots.

Drainage. A drainage hole is built in and no liner is needed, so you can plant straight into it. No saucer is included, and indoors you will want one, because water runs out of that hole onto the floor.

Pots ship empty and travel well, with plants and potting mix sold separately. Set the pot on level ground before you fill it, particularly the 550mm, which is awkward to shift once it is loaded and watered in.
