On lawns and garden beds, sprinkle 25 to 100g per sqm by hand or with a granular spreader and work it into the soil. In potting mix, add 5% by volume, which is 50L per cubic metre. Before laying new turf, spread it beneath the topsoil. The fine powder can also be blended with compost or seed-raising mix. It is most useful in sandy or non-wettable soils and where nutrients leach easily.
