VolcaMin is a natural mineral used as a permanent soil conditioner: its porous structure takes up nutrients and water, keeps them in the root zone and gives them back slowly as plants draw on them.

Why you'll love it

Fertiliser is stored, then released. VolcaMin charges with nutrients when they are plentiful and releases them on plant demand, much as a battery would.

The middle grade. The 1 to 2mm granule sits between the fine powder and the coarse 2 to 4mm grade, and suits potting mixes, seed raising and garden beds.

It holds water and nutrients against leaching. The crystalline structure improves water infiltration and retention and reduces the fertiliser lost to leaching or runoff.

It raises the soil's holding capacity. Zeolite boosts cation exchange, which improves fertiliser efficiency, and it buffers acidic soil with a mild liming effect.

How to use it

Apply once a year. Blend it into potting and growing mixes at 2.5 to 10% of the mix volume, which is 25 to 100kg per cubic metre, or dig it into the top 10 to 15cm of garden beds. When planting trees, use 5 to 10kg in each planting hole, or 3 to 5kg per tree in a circular trench. On lawns and garden beds the general rate is 25 to 100g per sqm. It blends well with compost, worm castings and fertiliser. Wear a dust mask when handling large amounts.

What's in it

Clinoptilolite zeolite, a natural mineral

Agriculture grade granule, 1 to 2mm

Sizes

4.5kg. A smaller bag for garden beds and trial areas.

20kg. The bulk bag for lawns, large beds and broader soil improvement.

Specifications

Material: clinoptilolite zeolite

Grade: agriculture grade granule, 1 to 2mm

Pack sizes: 4.5kg, 20kg

Use: permanent soil conditioner for nutrient retention and water efficiency

A powder under 1.0mm and a 2 to 4mm grade are listed separately

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0691/2917/5359/files/plant-doctor-volcamin-zeolite-soil-conditioner-1-to-2mm-granules.jpg?v=1790779919
https://nurserynearme.com.au/products/plant-doctor-volcamin-zeolite-soil-conditioner-1-to-2mm-granules
